Special General Meeting
January 29, 2025

The Cerritos Republican Club held a Special Meeting at Julio's Pizza in Artesia. The purpose of the meeting was to allow Republican candidates for the Cerritos City Council to be heard by the Club members and then consider their endorsements.

When President Sam Pedace called upon the candidates to talk, Jennifer Hong, Rocky Pavone, and Adrian Ayub each talked for three minutes. In contrast to past endorsement meetings, there was no question and answer period.

After the three candidates left the area, Lew Gentiluomo and Dixie Primosch talked about the Endorsement Committee's interviews with Jennifer Hong and Rocky Pavone. Adrian Ayub did not participate in an interview. Various members talked about supporting one or more of the candidates.

Then the endorsement of Jennifer Hong was moved and voted upon. She received the required number of votes to be endorsed. Next the endorsement of Rocky Pavone was moved and voted upon. He did not receive the number of votes to be endorsed. President Pedace did not allow anyone to move that Adrian Ayub be endorsed.

The next item on the agenda was a motion to support Jennifer Hong's campaign. This was passed.

Then the candidates were invited back into the room and the results were announced.
